KAMLOOPS — During Tuesday’s (June 24) regular council meeting, the 2024 statement of financial information (SOFI) will be presented for approval.

The report shows that overall remuneration at the City of Kamloops increased by 10.6 per cent. Included in that figure are two city managers that were paid over $500,000 in 2024. However, Deputy Mayor Mike O’Reilly stated that figure is not properly represented in terms of impact on taxpayers.

“The SOFI report itself is quite outdated, in the sense that the city of Kamloops has been reimbursed for a significant amount of CAO (David) Trawin’s wages by a third party. The SOFI report doesn’t reflect that and frankly I think the province should be looking at,” O’Reilly said.
