Kamloops Fire Rescue puts out small North Shore shed fire

KAMLOOPS — A small structure fire made a big impression across Kamloops.

Kamloops Fire Rescue responded to an area between Fix Auto and U-Haul on Halston Avenue at around 6:00 p.m. Tuesday (June 17) where a storage shed caught fire.

Scott Johnson, KFR’s assistant chief, admitted the smoke looked like it could have been a full-scale house fire, although the heavy black smoke emitting from the shed can be credited to tires and other material burning inside.

The fire was put out within minutes and no injuries were reported.
