UPDATE: Power restored to over 2,000 Kamloops-area BC Hydro customers

KAMLOOPS — Power has been restored to over two thousand BC Hydro customers after another large outage in the City of Kamloops.

According to BC Hydro, power was knocked out to 2,200 customers between Highway 5 and Highway 5A around 7:13 p.m. Saturday (June 14). It said equipment failure was to blame for the outage, and that all power was restored by 11:30 p.m. Thursday.

This was the latest outage to plague these residents and business owners in Aberdeen, Dufferin, Sahali, as well as along Lac Le Jeune Road and areas west towards Cherry Creek.

Some of these BC Hydro customers were also in the dark for about four hours last Sunday (June 8), as well as for about six hours on April 24 and another four hours on April 25.
