
NorthPaws to host Edmonton at Norbrock Stadium after dropping road series in Wenatchee
KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops NorthPaws picked up another win in the West Coast League, though they dropped their midweek series to the Wenatchee AppleSox two games to one.
The NorthPaws were beaten 11-7 in Thursday’s (June 12) rubber match, after they allowed five runs in the seventh inning at the Paul Thomas Field in Wenatchee. Kamloops was leading 7-6 after six innings, and were unable to respond to the AppleSox’s outburst.
Wenatchee took the series opener 4-3 on Tuesday, while the NorthPaws took Wednesday’s game 9-6 in an extra inning, despite giving up six runs in the second. Kamloops tied thigns up in the ninth inning Wednesday and then added three runs in the tenth to earn the win.
The 7-5 NorthPaws sit fourth in the West Coast League’s North Division, two games back of leaders Bellingham.
