Severe thunderstorm watch issued for the Shuswap

SALMON ARM, B.C. — A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for the Shuswap region.
In a notification online, Environment Canada says conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing heavy rain, large hail and strong wind gusts in the Shuswap Thursday (June 12).
Residents are asked to go indoors if they hear the sound of thunder.
