KAMLOOPS — The human remains discovered in the Pendleton Creek area west of Kamloops in April have been identified as a man from Fort St. John who has been missing for more than two years.

Police say they believe foul play was a factor in the death of 27-year-old Jordan Nande, who was reported missing on April 1, 2023, about three weeks after his family members lost contact with him.

Mounties say Nande and his associates left Fort Nelson in Feb. 2023, and they made their way to Kamloops, which is where Nande was last known to be.

In an update Thursday (June 12), the Southeast District Major Crime Unit said the skeletal remains that were found two months ago were confirmed to be that of Nande’s.
