RCMP warn of dangerous sex offender who will be living in Kamloops
KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP are warning people about a 30-year-old convicted sex offender, who will be living in the community.
Police say Taylor Dueck will be released into Kamloops on probation after he completes his Provincial sentence. In a statement Saturday (June 7), they say Dueck “represents a serious and imminent risk” to people under the age of 16.
RCMP say the public interest notification was released under the Privacy Act of Canada. They note Dueck was convicted of offences that include sexual assault, sexual assault with a weapon/threat/bodily harm, and sexual interference of a person under 16.
They note Dueck is bound by a series of conditions which include 24-hour house arrest on his property. He’s also barred from going to public parks, community centres, schools and playgrounds or other places where people under the age of 16 “can reasonably be expected to be present.”
