DASHCAM VIDEO: Unable to stop, semi slams into minivan near Revelstoke

REVELSTOKE, B.C. — Dramatic dashcam video posted to social media Wednesday (June 4) shows a violent rear-end collision between a commercial truck and a minivan.

According to the person who posted the video to the Skilled Truckers Canada page on Facebook, the incident took place Wednesday morning in Revelstoke.

The commercial truck is travelling eastbound at highway speed along the Trans Canada Highway when a white minivan pulls onto the highway from a side road.

Unable to brake in time, the semi plows into the rear end of the minivan, briefly sending it lurching toward the oncoming lane of traffic.

According to the post, no one was seriously injured in the collision. The author says the minivan contained two occupants, both visitors to Canada from Australia.

CFJC Today has reached out BC RCMP for comment on the crash.
