Blazers sign third player from 2025 WHL draft class

KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Blazers have signed a third player from the 2025 WHL draft class as they continue to build for the future.

They announced the signing of 15-year-old forward Brady Ondrus, son of former Toronto Maple Leafs forward, Ben Ondrus, to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement.

The Blazers took the younger Ondrus in the second round, 29th overall. The Sherwood Park, Alta. native joins first round picks Mateo Ferreira and Teagen Bouchard who also signed with the Blazers following development camp in Kamloops.

The 2010-born Ondrus put up 26 goals and 51 points in 35 games with the Northern Alberta Xtreme U15 Prep team in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League in the 2024/25 season. He also had two goals in two games with the U17 Prep team.
