SHUSWAP — (UPDATE 11:00 p.m.): Just over a thousand BC Hydro customers in the Thompson/Shuswap remain in the dark Saturday (May 31), as crews continue to work to restore power.

“Our crews are working through the evening to restore power as quickly as they can in places like Vernon, West Kelowna, Revelstoke, Golden, Salmon Arm, and Nakusp,” the BC Hydro statement said.

“Crews from the Fraser Valley have also arrived to help restore power.”

It also said updates for individual outages, including estimated restoration times, will be posted as it becomes available.

“Some customers in the impacted areas may be without power overnight,” the statement added.
