Kamloops Fire Rescue battles beach fire on the North Shore

KAMLOOPS — A fire on the beach created a plume of black smoke on the North Shore Wednesday (May 28) morning.

Kamloops Fire Rescue (KFR) responded to the scene near the 100 block of Tranquille Road after the call came into the scanner shortly before 7:30 a.m. Wednesday.

In a statement, the City of Kamloops says while the fire is under control, black smoke may still be visible.
