Vehicle fire causing delays on Highway 1 between Cache Creek and Spences Bridge

CACHE CREEK, B.C. — Drivers traveling between Cache Creek and Spences Bridge may experience delays on their commute Monday (May 26).
DriveBC first reported of a vehicle fire on the Trans Canada Highway south of Venables Valley Road, nearly 22 kilometres east of Spences Bridge, at around 9:30 a.m. Monday.
Single lane alternating traffic is in effect for the stretch of Highway 1, and DriveBC says drivers can expect delays of up to 20 minutes.
Another update is due at 1:00 p.m.
