Kamloops United FC suffer pair of losses to TSS Rovers

BURNABY — It was a rough Sunday (May 25) at Swangard Stadium in Burnaby for Kamloops United FC (KUFC).

The men were shutout by the reigning League1 BC champion TSS Rovers 4-0. Kamloops United is now third in the table with four wins, two losses and one draw, good for 13 points from seven matches.

It’s the second game in a row where they failed to score a goal, after starting the season on a five game unbeaten streak.

Meantime, the Kamloops women were also beaten by the TSS Rovers 5-2 Sunday. Cara Freeman scored both goals for Kamloops to make it a 3-1 and then a 4-2 game.

The KUFC women remain at the bottom of the League1 BC women’s standings with one win and six losses, good for three points from seven matches.

The Kamloops teams are on the road again this Saturday (May 31) when they visit Unity FC of Surrey.

Their next home match will be on Saturday (June 7) when they host the Vancouver Whitecaps/Rise academy teams at Hillside Stadium. The women play at 3:00 p.m. while the men will play at 5:30 p.m.
