IH alerts drug users in Williams Lake after spike in overdoses

WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — Details are few, but Interior Health has issued an overdose alert for the city of Williams Lake.
The alert was published Friday afternoon (May 23) and will remain in effect for one week.
IH says there has been “an increase in drug overdose events and overdose deaths” in the community.
People who use drugs are urged to carry naloxone, to be aware of the risks involved with mixing substances and to never use alone.
