Lillooet ER to be closed for 25 hours going into May long weekend

LILLOOET — The emergency room at the Lillooet Hospital and Health Centre will be closed for 25 hours heading into the May long weekend.
Interior Health says the facility will be unavailable between 7:00 a.m. Friday (May 16) and 8:00 a.m. Saturday (May 17). People are being told to make the two hours drive to Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops if they need emergency care during this closure.
This is the 28th emergency room closure in Lillooet this year, and the seventh in May alone. The most recent closure lasted 13 hours on May 14.
All but one of the ER closures in Lillooet this year have come since March.
