Irish kickers, former Gaelic footballers chasing jobs at Lions’ camp; South African rugby union convert eyes starting punting gig

KAMLOOPS — The stable of kickers at BC Lions training camp this year is stocked with international boots, with the exception being starting placekicker Sean Whyte of White Rock.
Carl Meyer of South Africa is likely to be the CFL club’s starting punter, while Irish imports Mark McNamee and Ross Bolger – both former Gaelic football players — are fighting to make the team.
