KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP are investigating an alleged stabbing in the city’s downtown over the weekend.

Just before 11:00 p.m. Friday, May 2, RCMP say officers were told of an injured person who has reportedly been assaulted with a weapon in an alley near the 500-block of Victoria Street.

Police were called to the 200-block of St. Paul Street shortly after where a woman was found with what appeared to be stab wounds. In a news release issued Thursday (May 8), RCMP say the woman was sent to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and officers collected evidence.

Anyone who witnessed the reported assault or has video or information that may be related to it is asked to contact Kamloops RCMP.
