UPDATE: One person airlifted to hospital after crash on Highway 1 east of Cache Creek

CACHE CREEK, B.C. — (UPDATE 3:00 p.m.): One person was airlifted to hospital in a serious condition after a crash on the Trans Canada Highway east of Cache Creek Thursday (May 8) morning.
BC Emergency Health Services (BC EHS) says it was called to the crash near Battle Creek Forest Service Road around 9:45 a.m. Thursday.
“Three ambulances with primary care paramedics, a supervisor and an air ambulance responded to the scene,” Paramedic Public Information Officer Brian Twaites said.
“Critical care paramedics provided emergency medical treatment to one patient who was transported by air ambulance to hospital in serious condition.”
