KAMLOOPS — The RCMP Southeast District Major Crime Unit is appealing for information and video footage as they continue to investigate the killing of Dylan Godfrey, who was found dead in the Paul Lake area last Friday (April 25).

They’re asking anyone who was on the North Shore of Kamloops between 5:00 a.m. on April 16 and 10 a.m. on April 22 to contact them with any information that may be relevant.

“As our investigators close in on a definitive understanding of how Mr. Godfrey was murdered and the events that transpired after, we strongly urge anyone with information or knowledge to contact our information line” RCMP Staff Sgt. Jason Smart said.

The RCMP says officers have spent the past week gathering evidence and information into the death of the 43-year-old Godfrey, who police said was the victim of foul play. A police presence at two Kamloops houses – on 10th Street on April 30 and Valhalla Drive on April 25 – is connected to the ongoing investigation though details remain slim.
