KAMLOOPS — The City of Kamloops says the fields at McArthur Island will be closed for maintenance for the next two weeks.

It says crews will be working on seeding, top dressing, and turf repairs starting Friday (May 2), in preparation for the annual Slurpee Cup tournament, which is held over the May Long weekend.

The soccer fields at McArthur Island will be closed until May 16.

People are asked to stay off the fields, especially in areas where there are signs or other barriers set up.
