Police investigate report of child followed by stranger in Barriere
BARRIERE, B.C. — RCMP in Barriere are investigating after a child was reportedly approached by an unknown man.
At around 9:26 p.m. on April 18, Barriere RCMP say a parent told police their child had been followed by an unknown man wearing a black hoodie.
Police say the parent patrolled the area and found a white Dodge parked near the bandshell in Barriere that’s believed to be associated to the man. Later that night, police say the same vehicle was spotted again with a male occupant. The model of the Dodge was not described in a news release issued Monday (April 28) afternoon.
Anyone who was around Fadear Park on the evening of April 18, or has dash cam or surveillance video that may be relevant, is asked to contact Barriere RCMP at 250-672-9918.
