KAMLOOPS — The BC RCMP Southeast District Major Crime Unit is investigating the suspicious discovery of human remains in the Pendleton Creek area, west of Kamloops.

In a news release Monday (April 28), police say that Tk’emlups RCMP were told about the discovery of human remains in the area near Greenstone Road more than two weeks ago, on April 11.

While police say Major Crime investigators found human remains “scattered” across an area of the rural property, they’re “unsure” where the remains came from.

“The investigation is in its infancy and police are looking for anyone who might have information about how this person died or how they came to be there,” said Staff Sgt. Jason Smart of the Southeast District Major Crime Unit, which is leading the investigation.
