100 Mile ER to close for 10 hours Saturday night

100 MILE HOUSE, B.C. — The emergency room in 100 Mile House will be closed for 10 hours Saturday (April 26).

Interior Health says the ER at the 100 Mile District General Hospital will be unavailable from 9:00 p.m. Saturday until 7:00 a.m. Sunday. This is the seventh ER closure in 100 Mile this year, with the most recent one was back on April 10.

People who need medical care are being told to head to either Cariboo Memorial Hospital in Williams Lake or Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops.

This closure comes as the ER in Clearwater is also unavailable Saturday night.

People in both communities are being told to call 9-1-1 if they need emergency care, or HealthLink BC at 8-1-1 if they aren’t sure if they need to head to the emergency room.
