BC Hydro responding to power outage in Sun Peaks

SUN PEAKS — BC Hydro says it is responding to a power outage in the Sun Peaks area that is affecting more than a thousand customers.

Power has been out for 1,704 customers between Whitecroft and Sun Peaks since about 2:34 p.m. Thursday (April 24) afternoon.

BC Hydro says a crew is en route, and is expected to be on scene around 3:50 p.m. though there is no estimate when power may be restored.

A cause for the outage is also not available at this time.
