Man arrested after waving machete while walking toward Tranquille Road

KAMLOOPS — A man waving a machete was arrested in North Kamloops Tuesday (April 22) afternoon.
Kamloops RCMP say officers were told of a man walking southbound on 13th Street towards Tranquille Road while waving the machete at around 2:00 p.m.
In an email to CFJC Today, RCMP say the man was also wanted on an arrest warrant. Officers seized the machete and a small bag of suspected illegal drugs.
The man was held in custody then released once he was sober. He has a court date and conditions in relation to the arrest warrant.
