Residents asked to stay away as police execute search warrant on Third Avenue in Chase

KAMLOOPS — The public is being asked to avoid an area in the Village of Chase Tuesday (April 22) morning.
Kamloops RCMP say a search warrant is being executed on Third Avenue in Chase. The detachment says its Targeted Enforcement Unit, along with the Southeast District Emergency Response Team and Chase RCMP, are carrying out the task.
“Due to the high-risk nature of the operation, chemical agents have been deployed,” RCMP state in a news release. “Residents in the vicinity may notice a distinct odour, which may cause minor irritation but is not harmful.”
