Kamloops prosecutor, baseball organizer named provincial judge

KAMLOOPS — A Kamloops prosecutor and sports organizer has been appointed a provincial judge.
The province announced three judicial appointments to the provincial court Tuesday (April 22), including Chris Balison of Kamloops.
Balison was brought into the local B.C. Prosecution Service office shortly after he was called to the bar in 2007. His career as a prosecutor included time as administrative Crown and deputy regional Crown counsel for the Interior.
Balison has also been extensively involved in organizing and promoting minor baseball in Kamloops. He was the director and president of Baseball BC from 2017 to 2022.
