KAMLOOPS — Another weekend split for Kamloops United Football Club (KUFC) in League1 BC action at Hillside Stadium Saturday (April 19) night.

The men’s team scored three in a row en route to a 3-1 win over Evolution FC from Coquitlam to remain unbeaten. Lucas Kirnon, Isaac Tate, and Ben Finley all scored for KUFC after they conceded the game’s opening goal in the 17th minute.

The KUFC men are atop the League1 BC standings with six points from two games. They’re also one of two teams still unbeaten, the other being Burnaby FC who are off this weekend and have only played one game.

It was more heartbreak for the KUFC women’s team as they gave up a pair of late goals in a 2-1 loss to Evolution last night. While Ainsley Grether opened the scoring for KUFC in the 16th minute, goals from Zoe Black and Kiera Scott gave the visitors all three points.

The KUFC women are still searching for their first win of the League1 BC season. They are currently seventh in the standings, through the two teams below them have only played one game each.

Next up for Kamloops United is another home game next Saturday (April 26), against Altitude FC from North Vancouver. This game will be played at Hillside Stadium with the women’s game scheduled for 3:00 p.m. and the men’s game at 5:30 p.m.
