But not everyone plays along with Dingo Donnie.
Throughout our country and elsewhere, there are groups of men and women who have one goal in mind — to protect our forests and the people who live within them. Record-breaking fire seasons that are more and more difficult to deal with. Lack of moisture the past few years has added to the stress.
The Provincial Wildfire Centre has been going flat out, working on new strategies to fight the deadly destruction. Government service centres are adding to the mix, and we are anxious to have the expertise of our Indigenous people, who have a lot to offer.
