KAMLOOPS — A pair of Kamloops Blazers forwards are projected as second round picks in the 2025 National Hockey League (NHL) Entry Draft.

Nathan Behm was ranked 44th among North American skaters in the NHL’s Central Scouting final rankings. It’s a drop from the midterm rankings where Behm was ranked 31st overall and a potential first-round pick. The 2007-born forward from Calgary finished second in scoring for the Blazers with 31 goals and 66 points in 59 games during the 2024-25 Western Hockey League (WHL) season.

Joining Behm as a potential second-round pick is Tommy Lafreniere at 57th overall among North American skaters. Lafreniere climbed the Central Scouting ladder over the course of the 2024-25 WHL season. He started the year as a potential sixth- or seventh-round pick in the preliminary rankings before being recognized as a potential third-round pick in the midterm rankings at 86th overall.
