KAMLOOPS — The BC Lions have released a schedule for 2025 training camp, which will get underway at Hillside Stadium in Kamloops in exactly one month.

The Leos will hold their first full practice at camp on Sunday, May 11. First-year players and all quarterbacks will report to Kamloops on May 7 for a three day mini-camp, with veteran players set to arrive on May 10.

“Kamloops provides an excellent opportunity for our players to focus on football,” BC Lions General Manager Ryan Rigmaiden said in a statement. “The facilities are fantastic and the scenery is amazing. Year after year, we become a team in Kamloops.”

Rigmaiden will be joined by Buck Pierce who was appointed Head Coach in early December, after a decade-long run on the Winnipeg Blue Bombers’ coaching staff. The pair take over from former Head Coach and co-GM Rick Campbell, who was let go after the 2024 season.

The ever-popular BC Lions FanFest will take place on Saturday, May 24 with activities for the entire family. It’ll include an open team practice, the Play With The Pros Clinic for kids aged six to 13 and an autograph session with players.

The Lions will play two pre-season games this year – against the Calgary Stampeders at Starlight Stadium in Langford on Victoria Day Monday, May 19, and then against the Elks at Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton on Friday, May 30.

They will host the Elks at BC Place on Saturday, June 7 to begin the 2025 CFL regular season.

The Lions have been coming to Kamloops for training camp since 2010, and will be here until at least 2026. There is also an option for 2027 included in the current agreement with the City of Kamloops.

The full training camp schedule can be found here, while a schedule of events for FanFest can be found here.
