Mounties in Merritt say officers have been called out to an unfolding incident at a home along Clapperton Avenue.
A brief email release from the RCMP’s Southeast District says there is no risk to the public, however residents are being asked to avoid the immediate area, including Diamondvale.
There’s no official word yet on what prompted the police response, or what the nature of the incident is. However several sources claim the incident did briefly lock down several nearby schools.
