KAMLOOPS – Ken Robertson is the Liberal Party’s choice to run in the Kamloops-Shuswap Central Rockies riding. Robertson is a Secwépemc man raised on the Neskonlith First Nation west of Chase.

“The threat down south, first of all, from the U.S. and Donald Trump and tariffs (is why I ran). This is where we have to step up and stand up for Canadians. That’s why I answered the call — for [Liberal leader Mark Carney] and Canadians so that we could, truly, make a difference and protect our sovereignty,” said Robertson.

Robertson believes the Liberal Party is the best choice for Canadians in this election regarding the future of Canada.

“At this critical time, we all have a clear choice regarding leadership. And Mark Carney is that leadership. I believe in sharing that vision that he has regarding what that shaping is when it comes to what Canadian is,” said Robertson.

Robertson joins the Conservative Party’s Mel Arnold, Green Party’s Owen Madden, the People’s Party of Canada’s Michael Henry and the NDP’s Phaedra Idzan, all looking to become the next member of parliament in the newly-minted riding.
