Lillooet and area residents without emergency room coverage for another 49 hours this weekend
LILLOOET, B.C. — The latest 49-hour of the emergency room in Lillooet took effect at 7:00 a.m. Saturday (April 5) morning.
Interior Health says the emergency room at the Lillooet Hospital and Health Centre is not expected to reopen until 8:00 a.m. Monday (April 7). It has once again not provided a reason for this ER closure – the 13th of the year, and 12th since March 10.
Assuming the ER opens as scheduled, this would make it 407 hours this year without emergency room coverage for Lillooet and area residents.
They’re once again being directed to make the two-hour drive to Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops if they need emergency care.
