KAMLOOPS — The Liberal Party of Canada has its two candidates in place for the Kamloops area in the April 28 election.

Kamloops lawyer Iain Currie will carry the Liberal banner in Kamloops-Thompson-Nicola. He made it known he was seeking the nomination last week.

Currie has run as the Green Party’s candidate in the past two federal elections. He garnered 12.1 per cent of the vote for a fourth-place finish in Kamloops-Thompson-Cariboo riding in 2019. That support dropped to 3.7 per cent and fifth place in 2021.

Ken Robertson will run for Mark Carney’s Liberals in Kamloops-Shuswap-Central Rockies. He was acclaimed as the candidate last week.
