Collision Update

One sent to hospital following collision on Fortune Drive and Tranquille Road

KAMLOOPS — One person was sent to hospital after a crash that snarled traffic at a key North Kamloops intersection.

Cpl. Crystal Evelyn, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson, told CFJC Today of a collision at around 8:10 p.m. Thursday (March 27) at Fortune Drive and Tranquille Road. According to the police report, one vehicle was heading west on Fortune and the other entered the intersection from Tranquille to turn left on Eighth Street when they collided.

While one person was sent to hospital, Evelyn says the others involved declined care from BC Emergency Health Services.

The collision is under investigation.
