Kamloops Long Blades hosting national championship for first time in nearly 20 years

KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Long Blades hosted the North American Short Track Speed Skating Championships in 2006.

They haven’t hosted a national or international championship since then, but that’s about to change this weekend.

The Canadian Youth Championships West event will feature the fastest 11- to 13-year-old skaters in Western Canada.

As CFJC Today reports, three of them are from Kamloops.
