Gaglardi lauds WHL expansion, speaks of his role in search for Chilliwack ownership

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops Blazers’ majority owner Tom Gaglardi is welcoming WHL expansion in Penticton and Chilliwack.
For his Blazers, it means natural geographic rivals and short road trips, a positive for players and club coffers.
He spoke to CFJC Today this week and talked of his role in the search for ownership in Chilliwack and his belief in the market.
Gaglardi is not worried about saturation of the hockey market in the Fraser Valley and Lower Mainland, but he does have concerns over player pool considering the league is expected to add two teams over two years.
