
Auto collision knocks out power to thousands in Brocklehurst, North Shore
KAMLOOPS — UPDATE (9:15 p.m.): Power has been restored.
EARLIER: A car has collided into a utility pole in North Kamloops, resulting in a widespread power outage that threw thousands of Kamloops residents into darkness Thursday evening (March 27).
BC Hydro says the power was knocked out to about 4,000 customers at 7:27 p.m.
The Crown corporation says the cause of the outage is under investigation.
