Deja vu: Lillooet emergency room to close Wednesday night

LILLOOET, B.C. — The emergency department at the Lillooet Hospital will be closed once again overnight Wednesday (March 26) to Thursday.

In a news release, Interior Health says the closure will begin at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, with service set to resume at 8:00 a.m. Thursday.

No reason is provided in the release. IH notes other inpatient services at Lillooet Hospital will continue.

This closure follows a 73-hour closure earlier this week.

Those in need of emergency medical care are urged to visit Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops or call 9-1-1.
