SCOTCH CREEK, B.C. — No one was injured after a man reportedly wielded a machete to damage a property in Scotch Creek late last week.

Chase RCMP received a weapons complaint from the Scotch Creek gas station at around 6:50 p.m. Friday (March 21).

“The male suspect was allegedly wielding a machete, causing damage at the business… windows broken and other damage,” S/Sgt. Kris Clark, BC RCMP senior media relations officer told CFJC Today. “Police attended the scene and took the suspect into custody without incident, and the man was known to police.”

While the man was uninjured, Clark says he was taken to hospital for any treatment he may have required.
