Chase Heat, Merritt Centennials share thoughts on KIJHL tiering

The Kootenay International Junior Hockey League will be split into two tiers in 2026-2027.
The Kamloops Storm, Merritt Centennials and nine other teams have received approval from the league to play in the Tier 1 division.
The Chase Heat, however, are among three teams deemed ineligible to make the Tier 1 jump in 2026.
As CFJC Today reports, the franchise has concerns about the future.
