KAMLOOPS — A Kamloops man has been arrested and is facing a series of charges related to a pair of early morning incidents in Brocklehurst Monday (March 17).

In a news release, Cpl. Crystal Evelyn of Kamloops RCMP says officers were first called at about 3:00 a.m. Monday for a break-in taking place at a church on Windbreak Street.

At about 7:00 a.m., police were called to the 800-block of Evergreen Place for a man making threats with a weapon.

“Just before 9:00 a.m., the investigation resulted in police arresting a suspect related to both occurrences, at a commercial location on the 1800-block of Tranquille Road,” said Evelyn. “He was held in custody for a bail hearing, during which he was remanded until his next court appearance scheduled for [Tuesday] afternoon, March 18.”
