Snowfall warning in effect for Coquihalla Highway from Hope to Merritt and Okanagan Connector

MERRITT, B.C. — A pair of snowfall warnings are in effect for the Coquihalla Highway from Hope to Merritt and the Okanagan Connector from Merritt to Kelowna.
Environment Canada says a low-pressure system passing through the southern interior will bring 15 centimetres of snow to the highways until Thursday (March 13) afternoon.
The weather agency notes visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow, and surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate.
The snow is expected to ease this afternoon. Drivers are being asked to adjust their driving with changing road conditions.
