Lillooet emergency department to temporarily close again one day after reopening

LILLOOET, B.C. — For the third time in 2025, the emergency department in Lillooet will be temporarily closed.
Interior Health says the emergency department at Lillooet Hospital and Health Centre will be temporarily closed from 7:00 a.m. Thursday (March 13) to 8:00 a.m. Friday.
A reason for the temporary closure was not provided in a news release issued Wednesday. The Lillooet emergency department’s third closure of 2025 follows a lengthy 49-hour closure that wrapped up Wednesday morning.
All other inpatient services will continue as normal at Lillooet Hospital. Interior Health says patients in Lillooet and area in need of emergency care are being directed to Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops.
