RCMP investigating after Kamloops transit bus hit by ‘projectile’ Friday
KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP say there were no injuries after a BC Transit bus was hit by a “projectile” Friday (March 7) night.
Mounties say the bus was about to head over the Overlanders Bridge when it was hit in the 100 block of Victoria Street West just after 7:00 p.m. The bus was later stopped on Tranquille Road in front of Surplus Herby’s.
“Multiple members attended the scene, and confirmed there were no injuries to any of the passengers, all of whom were safely offloaded onto another bus,” Kamloops RCMP Watch Commander Staff Sgt. Kelly Butler said in an email statement.
“Despite speculations made on social media, the type of projectile has yet to be determined, and Kamloops RCMP continue to investigate.”
