Vehicle incident closes Highway 1 west of Tappen; detours in place

A stretch of the Trans Canada Highway is closed through the Shuswap.
DriveBC first reported of a vehicle incident on Highway 1 nearly two kilometres west of Tappen at around 11:15 a.m. Wednesday (March 5).
A detour for light vehicles is in effect from Bolton Road to Tappen Notch Hill to Notch Hill Road to Highway 1 while heavy vehicles are being rerouted through the Monte Lake cutoff road to Highway 97.
