Rocks on the road closes stretch of Highway 5 North

UPDATE (8:00 a.m.): DriveBC says the stretch of Highway 5 is cleared in both directions.
EARLIER: BARRIERE, B.C. — Drivers travelling on Highway 5 between Barriere and McLure may be on a literal rocky road on their Tuesday (March 4) morning commute.
DriveBC says there are rocks on Highway 5 between Carilla Road north of McLure and Shook Road south of Louis Creek. In a post to social media shortly before 6:30 a.m., DriveBC says the stretch of Highway 5 is closed in both directions.
An assessment is in progress, and another update is due at 9:00 a.m.
