Suspect arrested, guns and ammunition seized after police execute a search warrant near Lytton

LYTTON, B.C. — A suspect was arrested, and multiple guns and ammunition were seized following a search warrant near the Village of Lytton.

Lillooet-Lytton RCMP say officers from its detachment and the South East District Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant in a community near Lytton without incident Sunday (March 2).

RCMP say there was a larger police presence in the area than normal but there is no risk to public safety.

In a news release, police say one man was arrested and remains in custody to attend court.
