They also note these results are preliminary, with official results expected by 4:00 p.m. on Monday, March 3.

Kerslake and Mosdell are scheduled to serve a little under two years in office, with the next municipal election in B.C. scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 17, 2026.

The by-election was held to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of former Barriere Mayor Ward Stamer, after he was elected as the MLA for Kamloops-North Thompson.
